. >> a father, a family, a community in grief. their hearts are heavy. >>> good evening, everyone. from newtown, connecticut, i'm anderson cooper back for a special edition of "360" tonight. this is the small town where this crime shocked the entire nation just one day ago. police tonight are still combing through what they call every crack and crevice. those are their words, of the elementary school where a gunman shot 26 people, most of them 6 and 7-year-olds. they're also at the home of the man identified as the shooter, trying to learn any clues they can about why he did what he did, why this school in particular. president obama will be here tomorrow visiting the families of the victims, the 20 kids and the six adults killed in the school. also talking to first responders and talking at a prayer vigil tomorrow evening. we are learning more about those young victims tonight, those 12 girls and eight little boys shot dead in their classrooms. most of what we're learning is from their parents who are sharing their grief very publicly tonight. kyung lah, you were there earlier when the father
